Our story
Inspire Fishing was founded by Marc Gillies Schiavone, an angler whose passion for fishing started before he could even walk. His family would say he was born with a fishing rod in his hand.
The foundations were laid by his grandfather, a talented angler who passed on both skill and passion. From catching minnows, wild brown trout, and grayling as a child, Marc quickly progressed to Scotland’s legendary migratory fish — salmon and sea trout.
Fishing has never just been a hobby; it’s a lifelong journey that naturally led to guiding and sharing the sport with others.
Meet your guide – Marc Gillies Schiavone
Marc has fished rivers, lochs, and stillwaters all across Scotland, including the country’s famous “Big Four” — the Tweed, Tay, Spey, and Dee. Over the years he has guided and ghillied on waters throughout Scotland, helping clients target salmon, sea trout, brown trout, grayling, and rainbow trout.
No matter the location or the species, Marc’s focus is always the same: creating memorable experiences and supporting anglers at every step.
